It is home to more than 2,000 animals and is an accredited member of AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) as well as the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. A trip to the zoo is not only fun for the children, but is sure to entertain adults as well. The zoo exhibits animals from all parts of the world, including lions, elephants, cheetahs and a myriad of other creatures. Among its events include Safari Nights, a concert series that takes place during summer for eight straight Saturdays. Galleria Ice Skating Center What better way for you and the kids to beat the heat than to go ice skating? You will need to pay a relatively small admission fee of $8 plus a skate rental fee of $3, but this fun-filled activity is definitely worth every penny, considering the wonderful memories that you can make. If you don’t know how to skate, fear not. There’s also the Galleria Ice Skating School, which is available for students of all ages. The staff there is more than qualified and will do their best to make your experience as entertaining as can be.
