Top Places to Watch Fireworks in DFW

There's one thing that just about everyone loves to do in celebrating America's birthday and that's watch fireworks. North Texas residents have many options for catching DFW fireworks. In fact, they can even see a few as not all of them take place on Fourth of July. One tip. The fireworks at most of these places can be viewed in nearby areas. This will help you avoid traffic and crowds. Here's where to watch fireworks in DFW and have a whiz bang of a fourth! Addison Kaboom Town! www.addisonkaboomtown.com July 3 in Addison Circle Park The festivities start at 4pm on July 3 as attendees can enjoy an air show, Dallas Wind Symphony, military band, fireworks, and an after party music. Everyone will stay entertained with carnival rides, concessions, and midway games. Don't leave right after the fireworks. Dodge the traffic by staying after for live music. The live simulcast for fireworks is on 100.3 Jack FM. Fair Park Fourth www.fairpark.org July 4 at Dallas Fair Park Head to Dallas Fair Park to celebrate America all day and top it off with fireworks. Gates open at noon and guests will be able to play games on the Midway, fill up on tasty food from the many concession stands, and experience thrills on rides. Also open are the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park, Old Mill Inn, and African American Museum. If you'd rather stay home where it's cooler, you can view the fireworks on WFAA-TV. Fort Worth's Fourth www.fortworthsfourth.com July 4 at Panther Island Pavilion Attendees enjoy more than a light show at Fort Worth's Fourth on the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion. They'll have live music performances and a free Kid Zone. Activities include pony rides, face painting, bounce houses, slides, tubing, zip line, and interactive exhibits. Of course, plenty of grub will be on hand — everything from shaved ice and pizza to Cajun and street tacos. Be sure to visit the website for a schedule of events, which includes an F-16 Flyover and flyboard shows. Frisco Freedom Fest www.friscofreedomfest.org July 4 at Simpson Plaza at City Hall and Toyota Stadium Soccer fans can catch an FC Dallas match at Toyota Stadium with fireworks after the game. Those not attending the game can view them around Purefoy Municipal Center. Simpson Plaza at City Hall will have a Party in the Plaza with music and entertainment. You'll be able to sample food from different Frisco restaurants at Taste of Frisco. Light Up Arlington www.lightuparlington.com July 3 at Downtown Arlington Light Up Arlington features Kid Zone, train rides, concessions, food trucks, and live performances. Kids' activities take place in three locations offering face painting, inflatables, petting zoos, and concessions. The fireworks finale begins at 9:45 pm that's set to music from 95.9 The Ranch. Plano's All American Fourth Fireworks July 4 at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve The annual Plano Lions Independence Day Parade begins at 9am. The parade runs from the Plano ISD administration building parking lot and ends at Plano Senior High School. The evening festivities run from 5 to 11 pm. Food trucks will be present at Collin College. A DJ will be there to get the crowd hopping. Plano's fireworks are synchronized to music from radio station 97.5 KLAK.
