Fort Worth Among Best Real Estate Markets in Nation
Fort Worth Real Estate is one hot property as it appears on several well-respected best real estate market lists. And the forecast is that the housing market will continue to stay hot in 2019. Check out this big news about Fort Worth real estate being one of the best real estate markets in the nation.
Fort Worth Real Estate Ranks No. 1 in WalletHub Study
Personal finance website WalletHub looked at 300 different-sized cities based on 22 indicators related to the housing market and the economy. And Fort Worth takes the No. 3 spot on the list of big cities! It has also topped all other large Texas cities. Only Seattle and Denver come out ahead of Fort Worth.
WalletHub lists Fort Worth as No. 15 on its list of Best Places to Buy a House, which is based on affordability and economic strength.
In determining the best real estate markets in the nation, WalletHub studies median home-price appreciation, home sales turnover, and job growth. It defines large cities as having a population greater than 300,000 people.
Using a 100-point scale, WalletHub assigned up to 80 points based on the real estate market and the remaining 20 points on affordability and economic environment.
PriceWaterHouseCoopers Best Real Estate Markets in Nations Report
What's more is that Fort Worth also appeared in PriceWaterHouseCoopers and the Urban Land Institute's The Emerging Trends in Real Estate for 2019 report. Out of 78 other cities, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex ranks as No. 1 market for overall real estate prospects.
"If there is a downturn ahead of us, it won't be real estate that caused it," says PwC partner Mitch Roschelle in Why DFW was named top real estate market to watch in 2019. "Right now there's way more discipline in all activities in real estate than there has been in any other time in the modern era."
If the real estate business continues to act conservatively in creating new supply, the DFW area should remain one of the best real estate markets in the nation. A big draw for Fort Worth real estate is the low cost of living and tax efficiency.
Moreover, the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area offers a diverse and stable employment setting. Unlike some cities, DFW is home to a variety of industries. So when one industry struggles, the impact is minimal because other industries thrive.
According to The Dallas Morning News, more than $11 billion of construction projects started in the area in the first six months of 2018.
In its 40th year, The Emerging Trends report surveyed more than 2,000 lenders, brokers, investors, builders, and property owners to determine the outlook on the U.S. real estate market.
