In addition to the hike and bike trails, people in southwest Fort Worth live a short trek away from Benbrook Lake and Trinity Trails. Lake Benbrook has every kind of outdoor activity available including camping, fishing, hunting, and boating. You can also swim, hike, bike, and ride horses. Trinity Trails connects with many parks with more than 70 miles of trails along the Trinity River. The trails lead to the Fort Worth Zoo, cultural district, Log Cabin Village, Fort Worth Botanic Garden, Japanese Garden, and historic stockyards. It also has equestrian trails, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and even the Coyote Drive-In Theater.

Since opening in 2014, Chisholm Trail Parkway has opened the floodgates for commuters. It shortens the trip between downtown Fort Worth and Cleburne. Residents near the parkway will be just a 10-minute drive from downtown and major job centers. When you want to take a weekend trip, the parkway gets you to I-20 and I-30. A new elementary school in the Chisholm Trail Ranch community is in the works. Students living in this neighborhood attend Crowley ISD schools, which are all within 1.2 miles. The current elementary school is the furthest away, but that will change once the new elementary school opens. Hulen Mall, Pecan Valley Golf Course, and several hospitals are within 5 miles of the community. It's only 10 minutes from H-E-B Plus! in Burleson. 1.  Diverse Higher Education Options

Out of 22 colleges in Texas, TCU is ranked as the No. 2 for nursing and No. 3 best college for education according to Niche. The private university's Neeley School of Business ranks high on many lists. TCU has a strong athletic program that includes a football, basketball, and baseball. Besides, they have one of the coolest mascots as you'll cheer for the Horned Frogs. Tarleton State University, a member of the Texas A&M University System, will build a campus adjacent to Chisholm Trail Parkway at Old Granbury Road. It's the only public university offering bachelor's degrees in Fort Worth. Tarleton's Fort Worth location will also offer master's degrees, doctoral degrees, and certifications. The new campus opens in 2019. Tarrant County College multiple campuses provide residents with more education options including career and technical programs, workforce training, and certifications. People living in Southwest Fort Worth won't go far to TCC's South Campus.

This 600-acre master-planned community is next to the 75-acre Chisholm Trail Community Park and Community Center.
