At Sandlin Homes, we don’t simply build houses—we create homes that our clients will love to live in for years to come. 

That’s exactly what we did for Jennifer and Dustin Hollar when they came to us to talk about building their first home together as newlyweds. We were so excited to get started on this project with them—tailoring their chosen floor plan to fit the needs of their lifestyle, and with the home now finished—we wanted to share that journey with you.

Meeting the needs of our clients

Our team of professionals has always gone above and beyond to exceed our clients’ expectations when it comes to building their homes. We were not the first builders that Jennifer and Dustin spoke to when they first decided that they wanted to build a home together, but we are happy to say that we were the best match in the end. After they spoke with various builders, the phrase “we don’t build that style of home” was soon becoming something they never wanted to hear again.

And then—they found us, and they fell in love with our Monte Carlo floor plan and worked with our design team to create a finished product through our Build on Your Lot Program that they were excited to begin their new life together in. 

Creating the wow factor

Our Monte Carlo floor plan is typically a 2-story home with 4 bedrooms, 3 and a half bathrooms, a 2-car garage and 3,823 square feet of living space. With the updates we were able to make for the happy couple, their finished home now has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a game room, media room and 3,990 square feet of living space that they’ll be able to completely make their own. 

Their home is situated on their own lot in the open country of Springtown, and in order to personalize the floor plan to better fit their lifestyle—we decided that it was best to make some structural changes to the home. Throughout the build, we converted the side-entry, upped the luxury factor even more throughout the master bathroom and rearranged the fireplace so that it now resides in the center of the great room instead of in the corner. The effortlessly chic black and white exterior pairs extraordinarily well with the modern farmhouse feeling the rest of the home exudes—and we’re grateful we had the opportunity to make this dream home into a reality.
