Fun Fourth of July Events near Fort Worth

June 29, 2018 by Hannah Ruth

Many of us look forward to swimming, grilling, fireworking (OK, maybe that’s not a real word), and relaxing on Independence Day. Fortunately, there are plenty of Fourth of July events near Fort Worth to celebrate America’s 242nd birthday.

Fort Worth Fourth

One of the most anticipated events on July 4th is Fort Worth’s Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion. It promises to have the largest fireworks show in North Texas, plus it’s coordinated with music. Just tune in to 95.9 The Ranch. Admission is free. It will have a kids’ zone filled pony rides, face painting, bounce houses, interactive exhibits, zip line, slides, and much more.

Of course, you can count on a wide variety of food available for sale, everything from shaved ice and Cajun to street tacos and barbecue. While you’re walking around, you’ll hear live music from Poo Live Crew and Downtown Fever. Be sure to visit the website for details and what to bring and not bring.

Light Up Arlington

If you’d like to celebrate on July 3rd, head to Light Up Arlington in Downtown Arlington. They have a kid zone as well as train rides, carnival concessions, food trucks, and topped off with fireworks set to music from 95.9 The Ranch. If you want to skip the event but park somewhere to watch the fireworks, they’ll be launched from Municipal Office Tower on 101 S. Mesquite.

Providing live entertainment are The Roomsounds, Chris Watson Band, Zach Coffey, Radio Kaos, and others. Check the website for information on parking, a map, ideas of what to bring, and the latest schedule.

Rockin’ 4th of July Mansfield

Also, on July 3rd is Rockin’ 4th of July in Mansfield. This free admission event contains bounce houses, games, entertainment, and local band The Night Shift. There will be food and drinks available for purchase and free parking and shuttle from Newsom Stadium.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie

Want to see some fast horses? The place to go is Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie’s Lone Stars and Stripes Celebration. The park will celebrate America’s birthday with live music, horses, and fireworks on both July 3rd and 4th.

The Family Fun Park contains face painters, tattoo artists, pony rides, a petting zoo, and bounce houses. The party will end with a whiz-bang of fireworks after the final race.

Family 4th Celebration in North Richland Hills

Another Fort Worth Fourth takes place in North Richland Hills at its Northeast Tarrant Family 4th Celebration and Fireworks Show. There’ll be a corn dog eating contest, salute to veterans, a free concert with local country music artist Derek Anthony, food trucks, and fireworks choreographed to music playing on KTCU 88.7 FM The Choice.

Before you go, visit the website for rules and advice on what you can and can’t bring. As always, pack your sunscreen and bug repellant. Have an awesome and safe American birthday c
